Moor’s Beer

Owned by Jahmal Moore & Damon Patton

One of Chicago’s only Black-owned breweries, Moor’s Beer Company pays tribute to founders Jamhal Johnson and Damon Patton’s ancestors. The company name is derived from the Moorish culture of Barcelona, Spain, which Damon learned of when he traveled there to learn Spanish. Johnson and Damon felt empowered to create their own brewery knowing that only 1% of the Black community in America has ownership of the craft beer industry. Since Moor’s Beer Company’s launch, their products have been included in more than 80 inventories across restaurants, bars, and retailers. Visit vendor >>
